Membership vs Access - What's the Difference?
We're glad you asked. Membership is required in order to purchase an access pass to the gym. But you do not have to get an access pass in order to be a part of the cooperative structure. See below for more!
MEMBERSHIP
Memberships are a one-time $50 fee that accompanies the Duluth Climbing and Fitness Cooperative Member Agreement contract. This is for the Cooperative Structure Only. This membership does not buy you access to the gym. Below are some benefits to becoming a member at Duluth Climbing and Fitness Cooperative:
- Being able to purchase a 24/7 Access Pass to the coop bouldering gym
- Voting in board elections and polls to influence important gym matters
- Being subscribed to the member email server, which alerts members of volunteer opportunities, events, and important board communications

ACCESS
Access Passes are what get you into the gym and climbing (or fitness-ing)! Here are the basics you need to know:
- 24/7 key-fob access to the gym. This means (with an active key fob) you can climb at the crack o’ dawn or get a late night campus session in, if you so choose.
- Access passes can be purchased for a term of 3 months, 6 months, or one year. For questions, please email us at climb@duluthclimbingandfitness.com.
- Click HERE for our minors policy regarding climbers under the age of 18.
- Occasionally, gym may have limited access for setting, cleaning, maintenance, or events. Members will be notified via email server prior to any irregular limited-access.
- Purchase and track your Access Pass through the Member Portal
Family Pass Rates
This is for the family crushers out there. All minors must be approved via minor request form (SEE BELOW) prior to becoming a member. The family rate is for parents/legal guardians and children under 18, and is currently only offered as an Annual Pass.
1 Adult ($400 +tax):
- Children <10, Free
- Children 10-15, $200 (+tax)/each
- Children 16-17, $400 (+tax) for first individual, then $200/each (+tax) for additional children; get their own fob pending board approval
2 Adults ($800 +tax):
- Children <10, Free
- Children 10-15, Free
- Children 16-17, $200 (+tax)/each and get their own fob pending board approval
KEY FOB
Fob Included with Access Pass
- 24/7 key fobs are included with the purchase of an access pass
- Please notify board immediately if your fob is not working while your access pass is active
Lost Fob
If you have lost your fob, please notify the board immediately so we can deactivate your old fob. Email us at climb@duluthclimbingandfitness.com
Replacement Fob
Replacement fobs are $10
Please coordinate with a board member prior to purchasing a replacement fob, then purchase the fob below.
